An Open Letter from the LFG.TV Team
(3-minute read — thank you for taking the time)

Our Vision
When we set out to build LFG.TV, our goal was simple yet deeply personal: to create a space that truly celebrates DJs and the culture that surrounds them. From the beginning, we knew this journey wouldn’t be easy, but we believed it would be worth the effort.

We kept hearing from DJs who felt unseen, undervalued, and underpaid on existing platforms. That conviction became our mission: to build something better, a platform where DJs and their communities could thrive together.

The Journey So Far
Creating a platform like LFG.TV has been anything but simple. Development began in February, but by May, we made the difficult decision to rebuild everything from scratch. It was a bold move, but the right one.
The version that launched on September 1st represents three intense months of passion, belief, and dedication to the DJ community. Along the way, we’ve faced challenges, including finding the right people who truly understand our vision. Not everyone was the right fit, and we acknowledge that. Some of our early missteps stemmed from misplaced trust in so-called “professionals,” and we take full responsibility. We’ve learned, we’ve grown, and now we move forward.

Behind the Scenes
Running a livestreaming platform is complex, demanding, and costly. Beyond the creative vision lies continuous work: moderation, new feature development, system stability, artist payouts, and community support — each requiring real resources and focus.

In the spirit of transparency, here’s what it takes to build and keep LFG.TV running:

  • Initial development (concept to launch): approx. $500,000
  • Ongoing development & maintenance: around $70,000/month
  • Server & CDN performance costs: about $10,000/month
  • Marketing & growth investment: approximately $100,000 to date
  • Operational overhead: around $10,000/month

We’re not sharing these numbers to seek sympathy, but to offer honesty. Most companies would never disclose this level of detail, but transparency is one of our core values. Without it, the scale and effort behind building something meaningful would remain unknown.

Why We’re Sharing This
This letter isn’t just about numbers, it’s about you. LFG.TV was built for a community, and it can only grow with the continued energy, creativity, and passion of that community. You are as much a part of LFG.TV’s story as we are.

The Future of LFG.TV
LFG.TV has stood out for its superior audio and video quality, and that’s resonated with both streamers and viewers. Over the past 50 days, we’ve received messages not only from DJs but from a wide range of creators asking us to open the platform to all types of streamers. We listened. We asked our community for feedback and the message was clear: Open it up. DJs will always hold a special place in our hearts, but it’s time to expand the stage.

Starting November 1st, LFG.TV will go offline as we build LFG.TV 2.0. Think of it as a reset, a chance to refine, rebuild, and relaunch a platform that exceeds expectations. This downtime will allow us to:

  • Fix known technical issues
  • Add missing features (especially on mobile)
  • Integrate third-party tools
  • Redesign systems to support all types of streamers
  • Improve our compensation model so creators can earn even more

Our goal is to come back stronger with a bulletproof platform that delivers on everything we’ve promised and more.

In Closing
To keep building, innovating, and fairly supporting creators, we must do it together. Whether you stream, tune in, share content, or offer feedback, your involvement shapes what LFG.TV becomes.
We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come. Has it been perfect? Not even close. But we’re learning, improving, and staying true to our purpose.

Thank you, for your trust, your patience, and your passion for creativity.
With deep respect and gratitude,
The LFG.TV Team
